Legal Permanent Residency Cases: In Re: ——, Enrique, (April 5, 2011)
In Re: ——, Enrique, (Chicago Immigration Court, April 5, 2011). Legal challenge: Our client was charged with removal because of his entry into the United States without inspection. Action taken: Chicago Immigration Advocates filed an application for a U-Visa because he was a victim of domestic violence by his U.S. citizen wife. We also filed a waiver of inadmissibility for his unlawful presence in the United States. Result: The U.S. Citizenship & Naturalization Service granted both the U-Visa and the waiver applications. The Immigration Court then terminated our client’s removal case. Our client remains in the United States to this day on his U-Visa awaiting adjustment of status.
