Non-Immigrant Visas: O Visa (Persons of extraordinary ability in Sciences, Arts and/or Business)

Congress created a number of highly specialized temporary work visa categories for certain outstanding workers in the sciences, arts, education, business, entertainment, and athletics. There are no quota restrictions, but a job offer from a U.S. employer is a requirement for any of these visas, and they are normally approved between two to seven months. It is a two step process:

O Visa: Same visa that is explain on temporary workers. O-1 visa is issued to alien with extraordinary ability in sciences, arts, education business or athletics. O-2 visa is issued for accompanying alien of O-1 holders. O-3 visas are issued for immediate relatives of O- 1 & 2.
